I noticed that the blackout became an excuse to drive around loud ATVs on the dark streets in the Ranchitos at 2am.

BTW, if you live in the eastern half of the Ranchitos, you probably heard the live Mexican band playing. Man, were they good! Seemed like slightly electric Mexican folk music: bass player, keyboards and an absolutely wonderful male Mexican singer. Bravo! Might have been coming from one of the rental salons along the bypass road or possibly within the Ranchitos itself.

so, an alleged thief jumped the fence at the substation in Guaymas Norte, ELECTROCUTED himself to death and caused the black out.

hook, i was going to drive around to see what the problem might be, when i realized my vehicles are in my garage. it has an electric garage opener. to much hassle to open manually.
i fell back asleep and woke with the breeze of my ceiling fan.

i spent the morning re-calibrating my clocks.

Did I understand the story correctly, that the man’s alleged intent was to cut and steal copper?

Sad for his family.

When copper prices spiked the last time (2010), thieves breaking into electrical boxes on mufas was a regular occurrence.

Now that the price of all commodities is spiking again, expect more of the same.
