The law in spanish specifically states that jet skis can be added to you boat or car permit. The TIP also specifies that water craft over 4.5 meters in length requires a a permit.

So if getting one for your boat, add them one as accessories. Same with the car permit when going past Empalme.

No mention in the law that I read when bringing a car in under a Only Sonora car permit where no sticker or paper is required, so'll you will have to ask.

The link to to the TIP is posted as a sticky by Bart and here is what I found in English on google

Tony, if you call the Marina office they will probably tell you that no Tip is required by them to use the ramp, and since ty are not renting a slip either, no problem there.

I also believe that you can bring car and jet skis to SC with no paer work. If going farther south than SC, get the permit for car and skis then.

Just a heads up.....

Let me preface this by saying I have absolutely zero idea if paperwork is required these days.

We once brought our PWCs down at a time when there was some sort of paperwork as well as a substantial deposit required that would be refunded when we brought them back out of Mexico.

The person who did the paperwork somehow wrote down the wrong VIN from our trailer. When we went to bring the trailer and PWCs back across, they would not allow us to bring the trailer back across due to the wrong VIN.

Lesson learned: If paperwork of any sort is required, be sure to double check what is written down on the paperwork to make sure it matches your equipment/vehicles.

This was quite a number of years ago and my memory of it is faded a bit, but what is clear to me is what a pain in the &&& it was. We ended up stamping the VIN listed on the paperwork (which bore no resemblance to any of the VINs of the trailer or either PWC) onto a random spot on the trailer to get it back across the border.
