I was told, have not tried it myself, that the AUTO ZONE in Guaymas will take all batteries.
No first hand experience, but the person who told me said they left batteries there.

The last time I dropped off household batteries at Home Depot, they took them reluctantly.  So I don’t know if it was just the woman employee I encountered that day or if they really don’t want them anymore. 


So I will try Auto Zone next time and see what happens.

I have seen yellow barrels beside the exit door at home depot for battery recycle.  Just drop them in.  There is a sign on the barrel.
