No mention of any cash missing from the wallet, but it sounds to me like somebody had their fingers in his pocket.

Sorry for your loss, I had my Suburban stolen, it is a shock to look for it and it is gone, well, your hit was very professional. very difficult to hot wire a car these days, you were obviously a target, the thieves waited in the parking lot for a target, you arrived, they followed you into the night club, because they are highly skilled professionals, they took your wallet and car keys as pick pockets, well planed out, you will never see your car again, hope you had theft insurance.

Just to clarify....wasn't my BMW. Just an item of interest for the community. Auto theft has exploded in Guaymas lately, but not so much in San Carlos.

I'm sure that when he went to get his car the kitchen was closed and he probably shouldn't have been driving anyway!

But...if kitchen open....oh yeah, bill gets comped unless your party was large. At the very least your own meal gets written off.

I seem to recall there being lots of video surveillance there.

That's good. Video is good. And who's watching it. Don't want them stealing the wrong keys and inconveniencing other people. Sounds like a shithole place to me - but I don't like walking home.

Been awhile since I've been there.....but it was a very nice and modern ambience with a progressive menu and spacious deck on the inland side with a view of the sea over the bar in the back. And their burgers are ridiculously delicious. I believe their target market is likely upscale younger Mexicans going for a late dinner as the restaurant turns into more of a live music venue.

But I digress. I'm blathering on with far too much info. We were really impressed by it. Better food than 90% of restaurants in town. We have only been during the day when it was empty and quiet, would not want to be there during a busy evening.

And the cameras and the pick pockets - that makes up for the impressive food ?? Really?? So, your impressive hamburger is worth his stolen car ??

I wouldn't have lost track of my wallet and keys. Can't blame the victim's stupidity on the restaurant. A wallet can be picked fairly easily....keys, not so much. He left them out somewhere. And it does say the wallet was turned in, so an honest customer turned it in to an honest employee who put it in a safe place. A dishonest customer stole the car with the keys the victim carelessly left out somewhere. Happens in the US as well. Not sure why you're so torqued over this. But, yeah, my impressive hamburger was worth his stolen car. I left the restaurant with my keys, wallet, sobriety and car intact.
