Really? I'm hoping it means karaoke is back. When I was down in September my friend, daughter-in-law, her boyfriend, and I went down to Froggy's for my wedding anniversary on a Thursday night and they were closed. That's when they normally had karaoke. Talk about a huge disappointment. I'll be back down in three weeks hoping to do some singing.

That makes her a step daughter, not a daughter-in-law

Not when she's 30 years old when we got married. Nothing step about it.

Don't see how #4 - #8 have anything to do with the topic of the post.

I agree No. 9, it's ridiculous. I can call her whatever I choose. I never have liked the "step" designation and will not use it. She became my daughter by marriage, which is a legal action. Therefore, she is my daughter-in-law.

For the record, she and her father always used "father person" and "daughter person" and I continued that tradition.

Now, who knows what is happening at Froggy's?

My post was meant to be a good natured comment on the wording. No offense intended.

It's what the Brits call "getting your knickers in a twist" - To become overly upset or emotional over something, especially that which is trivial or unimportant.
