Unofficial results from someone who knows someone who is in the tournament.

Many boats skunked, in terms of billfish. Mucho tiny dorado are a nuisance.

I think RELAX might be in the lead with three bills. Possibly only two other boats are on the board, out of 18 entries.

Again, unofficial.

Anybody know if this is a lure-only tournament or if bait is allowed?

Hearing that there are a lot more releases today. Apparently the fleet went to where RELAX was yesterday. Sounds like maybe around the Horseshoe.

Heard that the top three boats were Relax, Freebird and No Limits. I have no fish counts.

Unofficial results, of course.

Relax took it all with 5 bills.
Martillo had the only dorado that weighed on Sunday.

Hammer Down 2019 Tournament Winners

1st Place - “Relax”
2nd Place - “No Limit”
3rd Place - “Triple R”

Captains Prize

1st Place - Chuy “Relax”
2nd Place - Edgar “No Limit”
3rd Place - Vicente “Freebird”

Saturday was a little slow, Sunday started off with a bang with a double hookup for Triple R, I believe, and a busy day on the radio with hookups.

The dorado were apparently causing a commotion for pretty much everybody, and several were close to the 12 lb weight, but only one weighed.

Sunday is always the game changer on this tournament, and this year did not disappoint.

Great job by Tournament Control, sans the voice, Ian. I didn't hear any complaining about anything operational at all. Looking forward to next year already.
