By any chance, does anyone have their phone number? I have loaded up a few times and gone over only to find them closed. Thanks.

Do you mean the yard in the Ranchitos a block or so east of Sons of Freedom called Yarda de Los Calambres?

Yes, exactly. They used to be open 9 until 1.30. Did they change the hours?

One of the neighbors told me Rafael is usually there until 1pm Mon through Sat.
So, no, no change that I know of.
I don’t have a phone number for him.

I received the below information today by email from Karen Stewart’s newsletter:

San Carlos Recycling is back with a brand new location! It is now in the Ranchitos on Ave. H, up to the end where the Sons of Freedom club house and a mechanic's shop is located. Turn right and go along that dirt road only one short block. The Recycling location is on the left.  There is a large white gate that will be open during operating hours.  Their hours are: Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M.  -  5:00 P.M.,  and on Saturday from 8:00 A.M.  - 1:00 P.M.  You are able to bring all types of materials (sorted out separately please): Plastics; Aluminum; Cardboard and Metal.

Thanks Marigot. I get the newsletter also, however, numerous times I have went by, the gates are locked. I will go by and get the phone number to call before loading up a bunch of recyclables next time.

I was just surprised by the 8 to 5 hours listed, not really believable, IMO.
