Anyone bought shrimp in Guaymas the last few days?

Get your shrimp now from the pangueros who have very little bycatch, and not later from the big boats.

That's not bad, in my book.

I assume that's 16-20 per pound?

Up here in the States, the Albertsons chain has been putting these beautiful, wild-caught shrimp from Argentina on sale for 5.99/lb. 13-15 per lb. They have the heads removed and a slit down the back with the vein removed, but the shell and tail still. Giant things. They are excellent. Frozen, of course.

Hey, that reminds me. Did the fish market that the city of Guaymas built along the malecon ever open?

Typical.

I guess it was all about awarding a contract to an insider, for the construction.

It's very possible that no one really wanted to pay to sell there. Or, it would be more difficult to sell all the illegal fish they take, in such a public place.
