Does anyone know where to recycle cardboard? I heard there was a place on the way to Guaymas but that's too vague for me to find and I always forget to look. :) Thanks!

Okay, the place they told you about is on the right side of the road as you are leaving Guaymas, coming back to San Carlos.  It has been a while since I stopped there, because they no longer take plastics.  So my directions aren’t perfect, and I’m not sure they have a sign up any more.  Hopefully, someone will correct or improve on the info I post.

This is how I remember it...

After the intersection where the Policía Municipal station is, there is a large food stand with outdoor seating on the right.  Then you will see a brown wall along the right side until it stops at a 2 story white building.  Immediately after the white building is a chain link fence with a wide gate.  You can pull your car in the gate or park in front along the road on the dirt shoulder.  Inside the gate there is a ‘building’ of sorts on the right.  Sometimes a man would be there, sometimes he would be elsewhere on the property.
You should see bundles of cardboard and metals stacked around.  If you don’t see a human, just leave your cardboard.

There is also a recycle place in the Ranchitos that I am pretty sure takes cardboard.  Someone will correct me if I am wrong about that.  It’s been a while since I have been there too.

Turn off Beltrones at Hambone’s insurance, on the Ranchitos road, drive to the point where the pavement makes a 90 degree left turn.  Turn RIGHT on the dirt road, don’t know what number street that is.  Drive a couple of blocks, maybe just one, and you will see the recycle yard on the left on a corner.

I hate giving or receiving directions here, but we do the best we can with the landmarks we notice. 🤪

Good luck.

Suzmax, I break my boxes down, bundle them together and put them out at the curb. Oftentimes, someone takes them. If you can't find anything else, that may be an option. :)

I agree with Mary S. Everything we put out on the curb gets taken within hours, except garbage of course.
