would someone please tell me if a locally available special product exists to pour on a large tree stump to kill it?
Can you please tell me the name of it and where I might buy it?

Thanks...

Gasoline or diesel. My husband is an expert at blowing them up (former Navy Seal demolitions expert) and he loves to do it, but probably can't get the supplies down there to do it. I can ask him, if you want.

The reason I asked is the gardener who chopped the tree down for me says he will come back with a ‘spray’ to kill the large stump.
That remains to be seen.  In the meantime, my back up plan was to see if I can buy a product to pour on it if the gardener doesn’t follow through.

When I checked online, one recommendation was to drill holes in the stump, fill with rock salt, seal with candle wax, cover with a tarp and wait six months.
I was looking for something less labor intensive, like just pouring something on it.

The gasoline suggestion could work, so I appreciate that.  Seems like I now remember from childhood my dad using old motor oil on tree stumps.  I had forgotten about that.

Roundup poured into drill holes is one way.

A big no no on the gas. WI'll not work and is dangerous.  There is no easy fix short of dynamite. Drill large holes fill with muriatic acid from hardware store. Wait until center has rotted out and lite a charcoal fire in the hole.

Gas worked just fine on my Russian olive stump. Obviously, you take safety precautions.

Salt works well. The deer and cattle love it too. They will chew on the stump.
