Yeah, that's predominately the story I was referring to. There was another long-time gringo in the area that was also bludgeoned to death this year.

The theft of boats all long the Sea of Cortez is rampant. The boats are almost always found abandoned, sans motors.

They came back for the rest. Lost the ATV, Jeep, Motorcycle, kayaks, tools... everything.

That is about it for Mexico for me.

Anyone want a cheap house?

I feel so bad for you. What a helpless feeling, knowing that the police don't do chit.

I know, because I was in the same position last year.

Why do you think that? It's easy to drive around and case a joint and figure out who isnt at home. Anyone can do that.
Heck, the police did it just a couple years ago.

Rich, was this a steel door with a barred, screen door over it. Or a single steel door?

I assume they entered the same way. Are you headed down?

PM, if you like.

I am considering coming down and taking the few valuables we couldnt fit in the last trip. We brought back the Jeep, ATV, kayaks, a stereo system, our expensive outdoor fireplace pieces, jewelry, our new Samsung fridge, etc. The rest of the furniture is expendable. the boat is there but it is obviously not running. They arent going to steal an inboard motor.

There is a bit of fishing gear. Not that it's been used much in the last couple years.

Oh yeah, my expensive wine came north, too.

Rucking Bat Fastards !!!!!!!

So sorry to hear this; it's much larger than the usual break-in loss. I hope they catch them.

RichD,
Really sorry to hear about your break-in. It's such a helpless feeling when that happens.
Peter
