There are 2 areas of disturbance down South.  Very unlikely anything will come this way this early in the year.  Always a good idea to monitor storms though.

The first storm, Aletta, will not come anywhere near SC and unfortunately the winds will probably not bring any moisture this way either. The second storm should also track West and not come our way. Water is still pretty cool for any storm to survive this far North. For now, it would sure be nice to get a little rain.

Saw the first clouds building over the mountains to the East yesterday and that is a good sign that rain may be closer than we think.  Hope so.

There is a 'fold' in the jetstream right now that may sweep some moisture from Aletta our way.  Surface winds do not always match up and the jetstream can change quickly but hopefully some much needed rain will happen.  Arizona is bone dry with extreme fire hazard conditions in the mountains.

The second storm is now Bud.  Bud will head North instead of West and may impact our weather.  Water is too cold for it to be a hurricane threat to us but this storm may bring some much needed rain.

Note that if the storm tracks to the East of Cabo and enters the warm water of the SOC then all bets are off. Bears wathching.
