I know CFE stopped doing this several months ago, but is there any solution in sight?

We’ve have solar panels for about 8 years, without an issue. What are we talking about?
Our meter still runs backwards.

Nice guy, I think this response sums it up best.

“As I read the article in mexiconewsdaily,  as Go Solar says, it is about CFE opposing solar generators from being able to SELL excess energy to CFE, not anything about receiving credit on one's account for excess.”

Our credits are still working. We pay zero for electric use in the house. For 8 years...
Works for us.

That's how I read it too. Using solar still lowers the total you consume,  reversing the meters per day and also making what you have to buy at night come at a lower rate per KW too, right?

But I can see the problem of buying a system thinking that the CFE would help pay for it by buying your excess, especially if you are away a lot and have a large excess.

Bullshipper, I’m not sure I’m following well your remark, but the fact is the credit you get is good for a year. So even if you are not home using, your credits will help zero out your balance when you are home. If you are talking about your credits being too much credit for CFE, then I’ll say the alternative (installing batteries (a messy option) to generate your own electricity) is expensive.
