As the weather in San Carlos warms up, it’s important to remember that some medications make you more sensitive to heat and sun.  The list of medicines that have increased risk for heat related illnesses or sun-sensitivity is very long, but the most common include some antibiotics, many psychiatric medications (including antidepressants and antipsychotics), blood pressure medications, cholesterol lowering agents, some antihistamines and even some over-the-counter vitamins or supplements.  If you are taking medications, Rescate reminds you to check with your physician, pharmacist or online to find out if you need to be extra cautious during the hot weather.

In case of emergency you can call the Rescate dispatcher at 226-0911 or from a US or Canadian cell 011 52 (622) 226-0911.
