Thanks. I'll pass that on. When I brag about SC to my US friends, they always ask about the size.

NG might be correct, but I would guess, depending on the time of year, between 3 and 7 thousand. Just a stab in the dark.

Thought I read it somewhere online or on a forum and can't find it. Have heard or overheard about the same numbers. Both were a best guess hearsay, 3,000 to 5,500. Last few years, fewer gringos and more Mexican folks. Short answer, I don't know. Water Company/Comision could be a good source as to how many taps are out there, not how many they service with water, LOL. Guess on hotel and condos and add a few locals that tapped after Jimena exposed lines and there you have your own best guess?? Would be neat to know as I'm sure we've all been asked how large is the population. Ron

My understanding is that it fluctuates between 5-8,000.  Here is some information that is helpful, but this was from 4 years ago (at least), and more homes and condos have been constructed since that time.

There are approximately 3,000 single family homes and 690 condos in San Carlos.  I do not know the hotel room count.
