I'am have problems/questions on trying to renew my soon to be expired TIP permit.
I tried the online link Bart posted and it was rejected and my credit card refunded.Went to the Mexico Consulate in Phoenix this morning and was told the old permit needs to be cancelled and must have my boat with me for a new TIP @ K 21 or Empalme.  There is no way I can be there before it expires shortly.   My boat is in San Carlos in storage.  Has anybody renewed an expired TIP at a bank in Guaymas as I have heard you can do that with just the paperwork.
My question is what happens if I try to renew it after it has expired?  or can i cancel it online and renew on line
Dave

Please share or PM me, if possible. Mine expires in 2018.

I didnt need to bring my boat to Banjercito in Guaymas when I got my original one. I am assuming I can provide them with further documentation to continue it.
