Fish we're everywhere this morning. Although a lot of fish we're on the surface chasing very small sardines, all the fish I got we're 40-50' off of the bottom. Several fish under 8#, but a couple in the 22# range.

I lost soooo much time chasing boils! After I talked to you we stayed put jigging and ended up turning a shitty morning into a great afternoon!!

Many small fish, 3 nice ones...biggest one came on a popper, over 20#

Fernando

Howdy folks,
I am new to this forum.  My boat is in SC and we will be coming down next week (12/26-1/1).  I am new to deep sea fishing and if any of you salty dogs will be around, a little bit of advice or teaching would be great.  My boat is a 26' aftcabin "See 2 Sea."  I hope to hear from some of you.
Also, to user "IronMan:"  Hey there, are you talking about IronMan triathlon or comic book character?  I am a two time IronMan, and have two scheduled for next year!
Brent

Although Craig could probably easily do an Ironman, and so similarly trains every pre-dawn, it is more so pursuant to his lust for yanking iron. The 'iron' that is cast into heavy jigs primarily for large yellowtail. Not that he doesn't idolize or even possibly believe that he is the superhero known as the Ironman. He was narrowly turned down for the part.
I'll PM you a name that could hopefully guide you. You can get lucky like most people, but a little knowledge can help. There will be a lot of people fishing. The bite seems to be changing daily, if not even throughout a day. Next week should be good though.

I didn't know Craig was a master yanker. He would have needed these last couple of days yanking my fish on to the deck. They were more spread out today and we're reluctant to bite until about 7:00. We were using 2.5" jigs and got most of the fish 20-40' off of the bottom. They are here Craig, where are you?

Brent, deep sea fishing I have found can be difficult. I would charter a few boats before you just head out to sea. But that's just me. Get to know all of the fisherman and don't be afraid to ask questions. Order some cult sniper jigs have 60 lb-80 braid on your reel and also grab some 30'-20' rapalas

A Bonita was catch 2 days ago at the island. Freinds went out and caught 12 in two hours at the sea mounds. 10 were about 20lbs jigging. The other 2 were caught trolling, wire, but not as large 10lbs. Fishing is Good

Alas Quaggy, been stuck in the desert either working or bowhunting the last couple of weeks. When I wasn't tied up with those, been working on upgrades and maintenance on the land-panga.
