I was just visiting with our comisario Ruben. I would guess as a Mexican businessman with a knowledge of politics and construction and taxes and municipalities that we have never had anyone even close. He knows things and ways and people concerning engineering, construction, payment and labor that most of us will never have the opportunity to learn. Don't sell him short, he's on the side of San Carlos and certainly knows his way around (yes, there may be a pun there.) A little support sometimes goes a long way. I certainly do not remember a comisario with anywhere near the vision for San Carlos. And yes, time will tell. Ron

Negative Frankie, and "illustrious" is complementary, not in any way demeaning. Look it up if you don't believe, and you say Ruben is your great friend. If that were so, and you have seen and spoken with him since this issue came up, you would be in the know, but obviously you have not. The initiative is his and I support it, period. Capice? Ok, this is about "topes" not "dopes", like you, me, and most of the other well meaners. I appreciate Richard pushing this project, we all know we have this rate of speed problem, and this probably is the best way to correct it, at this time. I will make my trek into the bush and visit the donation site, and urge all other to do so too. If many contribute our lose will be little if Ruben adds a room onto Charley's at our expense..lol Let's getter done.

quote from the "i love lucy show" "splain it to me lucy" richard offered no explanation only demeaning rants of "responsible residents, armchair engineers"! i feel a little more confident that there is a plan, but am still concerned that there is no $$ goal amount to achieve!

Frankie, just don't donate and you won't lose any money. Richard is 100% correct the topes will work 24/7 and no Modila will be needed. Suggest if you slow down for the topes nothing will be Jared and no false teeth will fall out.

I consider it a contribution instead of a donation. The difference to me is that in the case of a "donation" one does not receive back any benefit other than maybe a fuzzy warm good feeling. In the case of a "contribution" one gets some sort of benefit back. In this case, a safer San Carlos. So I urge one and all to "contribute" to the Comisario's tope project.

So national geographic is showing a series on the hibernating brown bear. I choose to watch that, other than stew over Richards last post......the sleeping ursa, brings more excitement that Richard, parsing contributions and donations.....YAWN JUST GIVE!! .....but to give indicates.....another yawn.

it looks like topes and potholes have the same effect slowing down the people who are paying attention and waking up the people who are not so it comes down to cost and complaint values both about the same
