Out there! You just need to get far away. I'm guessing 47-52 on a 190-195. It could be a myth.

The Extreme North end is 36 Miles at 205 deg,  the Extreme South End is 49 Miles at 188 deg

I think the best thing is to look for where the currents bend or stack up between there, the other side, and Tortuga.

More a fault opening at that deepest point. A couple research boats have come through there. I've heard just one account of possible vent foam/scum being seen. Upwellings can occur many miles away from the actual bottom structure. Who doesn't like the mysteries of deep water though.
