We have sewage flowing out a manhole cover and 50 meters down the street for months now. Its bad. Its very unhealthy.Once in awhile a vacuum truck comes around and pumps it down but it fills back up in days.Does anyone here know how to get ahold of that vacuum truck crew or employer ?Whats the number for the public works department ? (will they give a rats ass?)Any ideas on how to get this problem actually fixed?

They also take care of the sewage I believe. At least it on some of the bills. We live in the Ranchitos so we don't have sewer lines.

If it were not pouring out of the manhole, where would it be going.?? Sewage treatment plants are few and far between in Mexico....I have never noticed one in San Carlos....

Probably in a community like ours, with limited infrastructure, the old leeching septic structures are the best.

The water company doesn't care about septic leakage, actually no one really seems to care. San Carlos will continue on it's current path with little change for many more years. You simply have to get used to sewage over flows and bursting water pipes.

The 50% increase in the water bills it seems will definitely not go towards better service or new infrastructure.

This is so true. It would be prudent for all of you NOB folks to realize this fact about Mexico and accept it. The alternative is to just bang your head against a brick wall.
