A California retiree, looking for an opportunity to learn mono hull sailing in the Sea of Cortez. I have some experience along the way, as I owned a Prindle cat at one time, but...that was a few years behind me. Not to make something complicated or derail any Mexican legalities on the prospects of working down there in the SC area. Plainly stated, I would be willing to work as a crew member, donate beer money and or help with boat repairs. At least for a short period (say a week or two) out on the bahia learning the "ropes" or the "sails" or something like that.  I am a self sufficient chap and I wish not to burden anyone in the process. I can rent a house, room or whatever while there in SC and I can pay for my own food and have own car. Truth is, this is something of a pre-requeste in being able to purchase my own yacht, qualify for insurance and get through all of the other mountain of BS in order to have a self induced jolly good time at sea.  Any Takers....Contact John  :dude:

John,I have a southern cross 31 foot cutter 1979.  I have been looking for someone who would like to own it for cheap and use it.  I have had it in good running shape for a number of years.  I would be happy to spend some time showing you how to run this very simple no frills boat.
