Its that time of year again.  Outdoor Adventures for Wounded Veterans have sponsored 15 Purple Heart recipients for a fishing tournament this weekend.  As usual, San Carlos has stepped up in grand style to help make this a memorable event.

We would like to thank the following boats and owners for donating their boats and crew for these brave veterans:
Predator: Morgan and Eleanor North
Kryptonite: Wade and Judy Earl
Deal Maker: Sean and Kate Lawley
Baby Girl: Carroll and Holly Moran
Magumn: The Zaragaza Family

The veterans will be dining and enjoying hospitality in the following establishments:
Shots Bar and Restaurant
The San Carlos Yacht Club
Sunset Restaurant

Please stop and thank these owners and establishments.

The veterans will be at Shots Friday and Saturday afternoon for happy hour if you want to stop by.

There are countless other volunteers from the community that help make this event a success every year, in addition to the gracious donors of housing, food, transportation, and beverage.

Outdoor Adventures for Wounded Veterans (OAWV) is a 501C3 charity organization.  All donations go to the veterans and are tax deductible.  If you are interested in donating, PM me and I will let you know how.

We ask just one more favor of everyone, Saturday is supposed to be rough.  If we all think positive, maybe they can fish for 2 days!

Thanks San Carlos!

The OAWV Committee

I'll make a call for off-road stuff.  I have beach gear. Nacapule Canyon is another option. I better start fasting before the food comes.

Sounds like we need a few HOVS or side-by-sides to make a trip or two up past La Manga. The owner could drive them.

No. They got out for one good day with everyone releasing a fish. 3-6 releases per boat. Maybe had a wahoo bite ff, or shark. No dorado or tuna. They are out there though. Billfish were biting though, then just turned off ( hours against the previous days bite time). Thank you everyone for all the hard work, food, and donations!
