Good thing they called it yesterday... Those waves were almost 2 feet tall. Calm till noon then an hour of small whitecaps then calm. Beautiful day. Can't believe the Mexican navy made that call, unless he came over from supply. Couldn't have been a better day to fish ( in a rowboat)...

Am curious as to who makes the "calls"....the Port Captain or the Navy.  I've heard both.

Couple years ago Navy took over Guaymas port , Port Captain I believe works for / with ? Secretary of the Navy.

When we apply for permission it is addressed to the secretary of the Navy and bellow the Port Captain

Congratulations to all !

Thank you for the sportsmanship and camaraderie , a great day's fishing !

By the way - without a doubt VIDEO is the way to go - checking video when done properly is incredibly fast and easy compared to loads of camera shots when the fish keeps ducking !!!  Buy a go pro now and play with it all year when fishing , by next years event you will have it down !

When I figure out where to host a couple of videos I'll post link here so you can see how easy it is.

:)

Ian, no mention of the mighty Zancudo? I had them at 3rd place with 2 billfish and edging out Telamon by a whole half pound of dorado weight! Congrats to all! See ya for the hammer down!

Hmm.  I was given the impression our pictures were fine when we arrived at the banquet. We had some backup photos just in case. Will use video only next time.

Thanks !

We are looking to get software tweaked so the overall rankings are much easier for us to locate - current system is jackpot based and makes after tourney work harder for yours truly !

Of course next time you will catch double the fish :)

Suggest invest in a go pro and get really used to working it - the cheapest works fine - I was amazed how much easier it was with the few that used video to clear and authenticate their catches . I also now know why no cell phones - we really do need to take possession of the chips from these video cameras to study on a big machine away from TC where it is chaos and on a small screen much harder.

Thanks for participating !  See you in October :)

Zancudo - that was my bad. Was kinda busy ..... and spoke off top of head !

We very much need some extra good help,  would be great if we could have a good "nerd" to download pics and run them for couple retired fishermen to authenticate as they know what a darn fish looks like !

We are very much open to volunteers with skills to help.

Remember a huge amount of stuff has to be compressed into a very short space of time

Thanks for taking part , definitely see you on the score board again soon !

:)
