There are a few marlin out there. We've released two and had a few pulling line. Haven't seen that many. Picked up a pair of 16# dorado headed to Tortuga. The male got over the loss of his girlfriend within a minute and just had to hit the small popper. Hid out some of the next day from the wind, just finding one small dorado. Maybe should have headed towards San Marcos, but I wanted tuna. No yellows and somehow not a single big cabrilla or snapper. Lots of big triggers. Got another bull about 16# on the way back and then a big one swam by. Got a popper out and it turned right before going into the spread. Quite the battle from the bridge - about 40#!!! Pic. coming.

Saw a pair of what I have to believe were those Cuvier's Beaked Whales.

Tight Lines,

Released 2 marlin today. 13 out on 175. No dorado. May try the other side tomorrow if the crew is up for it!

We hit another good patch today, but the fish were twice as big. There were at least a handful over 30#.

The sailfish arrived! I think they were down with the chop and focused on the small bait, but there were numbers. A good number of marlin too. Not too far out either.

Great looking dorados! Nice to see some with some size again after a few years with the wimpy variety. Hopefully it's a sign of good things to come!

Don't jinx me! It's finally working. We caught fish once we ate the client's banana. That was a dive boat that looked like it was on fire.
