One or two were caught by boats at San Antonio and the Island last week with many blanks. Heard of a couple Pando blanks . Sunday we got 3 of 7 trolling and 2 of 4 and a couple misses jigging between San Antonio and Piedras Pintas. TONS of bait. I saw multiple schools swimming just under the surface that evening. Yesterday two, today nada. 0 on wire and all off the wire and planer - green mackerel. A few marks just west of San Antonio today 90-120'. Friend saw one caught at the Seamounts today and saw fish outside there yesterday.

The weather is now warming up and so will the water. Then its island popping season, the highlight of the season.2-3 weeks is my best guess.

It went off in close after 12:30. I am sure that I could have hooked a handful from shore. Then the bite moved off a mile. Two captains but we still caught 11. Half on poppers. I'd wait on the Island.

I bet someone sees a marlin tomorrow. Tons of ballyhoo and I saw a dozen flying fish. A couple turtles lately. Lots of whales today.

Nice! We caught a 24# yellowtail on a ballyhoo at the Seamounts. A lot of what looked like dying pelagic sargasso coming in. A Dorado tomorrow?

Well, here is a photo, and it shows a 30 plus from Saturday (you might be able to zoom on the scale).

Saw my first 12" long squid breezing by the island yesterday. Got 5 jigging, and we lost another 5 at the north end. Popper/Tady 1 fish have been bigger, but the ones hitting on jigs are small. Guts are still over extended with red crab.No surface fish caught by me yesterday.

Pangueros have done real well a S Island, but finding enough small mullet is their main problem as fish are finiky about eating larger baits. Pangueros are also reporting that Tortuga is going off on yt and bass.
