This is under a post from earlier this week:I am looking for a spot on a boat for the Yellowtail Tournament.  I bring 40 years of yellowtail fishing experience, my own gear, my secret yellowtail killer jigs, and a positive mental attitude with me!  I will pay my own way--I just don't have a boat right now.  If you have a sonar we have a great chance of winning as I know all the best jigging and popper spots!  I am a permanent resident here in San Carlos.Email me at greghovey@yahoo.com so we can talk!  :cool:Thanks for your consideration.Greg

The bite may be changing? Live bait is allowed. It must be caught after 6:00 by pole within a mile of the marinas on tournament day and cannot be purchased. Besides that, a 10 fish per day limit and the fishing hours, anything goes, less dynamite.

I don't want to have many rules, but we're going to have a four lines in the water limit. Only four lines can be in the water at any one time.

ALLRIGHT! Come on down! Weather will be mid 80's and mild winds less than 12mph, following seas from the island afternoons.

Looks like 11 boats confirmed, but I will say we end up with 12-14. Anyone seen Costa Lotta?

The reigning champs? They just don't want to scare off any new entrants.

I was talking to a panga guy who offered me fishing for less
And you won't need rod and reel, he said... why I asked
They're gay he said, not macho. Wow and do you catch them?
He said live bait mullet, wel, l my comeback was
live bait fishing is gay. LoL

But What about trolling ?

Whatever it takes to win. The other day I was out there the pangas were throwing poppers on hand lines. I think I'd need some gloves.

The Ironman is for the reel gays. No trolling allowed. We haven't had a female entrant yet, and some of those guys are in good shape. We might be down to our swim trunks to stay cool this year. I'm sure that Craig has a colorful Ironman speedo.

Haha! I remember someone saying it would be too hot in March and we said NAW! Never! Looks like 85-89 for Sunday, but we will have a breeze. No speedo for IronMan - that is too much cloth! I just wear a bodysuit by Lululemon...
