I have the most incredible ocean view from my house. Does anyone know what a web-cam cost is to buy and operate? It would beat the heck out of Buoyweather.

Bryan, Operating can be nil if you have decent internet connection.

Capital costs range from couple hundred up depending on what you want to do - i.e. a decent fixed view over say a pan tilt or zoom .

I am picking up a couple of "end of run" ones next week to try out in the bahia , if I overcome the learning curve would be happy to share experiences. ( If it works I plan to get a good quality one to instal later - figured to experiment on cheaper first )

Your location could do with a decent weather station as well - great spot , and while we are at it a VHF repeater would be good as well !! ( Unless the Plaza would host one )

:)

Playa Blanca or the top of the Costa Bella skeleton might be even better for a repeater. Let me know how the camera goes for you.
