Last Thursday, January 17, the San Carlos Education Series presented a session on Health Care, Hospitalization and Dying in Mexico.  The very popular event was organized and presented by Rescate and about 215 people were in attendance.  Donations of 50 pesos per person were collected at the door and donated to Rescate.  Thank you, San Carlos, Jan Raines, San Carlos Education Series and Club Deportivo!

Presenters at the panel presentation were Dr. Glenn Lippman (Moderator and Rescate Board President), Dr. Mike Laux, Dr. Canale, and Jessy Guerrero (Rescate supervisor). They provided considerable information on emergency medical care, hospitalization and what is required in the event of a death in Mexico.  For a detailed summary of the information provided, please visit “Health Tips” on the Rescate website here.

During the interactive portion of the program there was significant interest in medical insurance and the cost of hospitalization in Mexico.  As a result, the San Carlos Education Series organizers will dedicate the session on January 31 to the topic.  Stay tuned for more information.

At the presentation Rescate President Dr. Glenn Lippman also officially kicked off Rescate’s six week membership drive.  For more information on the drive and how you can help keep Rescate in San Carlos, visit “Events” on the Rescate website, http://www.rescatesc.com.
