Planning a camping trip near SC next week. Will I be able to travel through Nogales entry to SC with a kayak on the roof of my truck? Not essential travel but I will be about as isolated as you can get.

Came through today at Mariposa, no problems. Don't go through town, the road is all under construction...again.

Yes, they are. Don't bother, get them online and then get them stamped at Mariposa. Much nicer agents and easier to do.

Someone elsewhere said you have to use the one they give you fill out on the plane. But, that was flying into Mexico City. He had done the online form and it wasn't accepted.

I believe we paid about $30 at the border. But the online price is $99...is that correct?

Do a search for the link here, I don't have it on my iPad. You may have been on the wrong website. I got a new 180-day FMM in August and the price was the same online and at the border, about $27.

390 pony, you are correct. For others who read this, please be aware that an official looking site is run by a 3rd party (concierge) and charges $99.  The correct price is 575 pesos. I found the correct link on a " baja bound" google search but there are probably other ways to get to the correct link.

After my recent experience, I do not recommend that anyone use the on line option. First, we tried the immediate right at Mariposa. We had a newbie who called her supervisor several times and after 20 minutes we gave up. One of the errors was that I paid in October but entered in November! Apparently, you are supposed to enter on the same day you pay.

At km21, the senior guy was so senior that he did not wear a mask. Along with the first error, we were entering a day later than on the form. He finally agreed to admit us in spite of the 2 errors. IMO, the online option is not worth the hassle.

You can't blame the online form, if you do it wrong. You must enter on the date you indicate on the form. That information has been known since they started doing the form. What was your other error?

I agree...I should have entered on the same day. But even if I did, you also have to pay on the same day...not something I anticipated.

Also, the " newbie" said we had
the wrong name since my wife signed her American name ( same as passport), and the newbie stated that it was the wrong name for mexico....the first time in 35+ years that anyone had brought up that concern!
