Over 200’000 lives lost in the USA Imagine that would be the entire city of Amarillo or Salt Lake City.

comfort zone; i was just at our most popular grocery store. i was making some purchases. there are only 2 cash registers and 1 or 2 bag boys. the cashier and the box boys had masks, one box boy was enjoying a snack, where they stand to bag your groceries. he wasn't attending the line i was in. he finished his snack, it must have been good, cause he proceeded to lick his fingers clean. he then placed his mask back on and started to bag the groceries!!!!!!!!!! what's my point? no matter what color red, orange, yellow, there always be someone out there that can endanger your health! i always spray my shoes before i enter my house with alcohol. once inside i spray all the bags down with alcohol, i spray the package products. before eating anything fresh it is washed. better safe than sorry! So you should probably try to educate them with your 3rd hand armchair opinions instead of us. Me, I'll take their word for it.

Im not trying to say that covid wasn’t the primary cause of death for those with pre existing conditions as some right wing sources have. Was just pointing out it’s not a fair comparison to say us covid deaths are like wiping out a city of 200,000.

The post I was referencing mentioned Salt Lake City. The median age in SLC is 31.4. Median age of those passing away from Covid in the US is around 75. Just trying to keep things in perspective.

OMG gram99 You are taking my post completely the wrong way. This was just imagination of how many people we have lost due to the pandemic! Just a comparison of numbers, to put it into a relation to a whole City. So stop hi jacking my post.

Suizo, you both are right. You by stressing the impact of the loss of 200,000 souls, being the equivalent of losing an entire city the size of SLC. Gram99 points out that statistically it appears should SLC be the epicenter of the pandemic, the entire city (200,000) would not be lost.

"What Is A Metaphor? —Definition and Examples | Grammarly a few want to take advantage to push their "dog whistle" convoluted agenda. this metaphor is no different than if was said "all the soldiers lost in war, are comparable to the population of a city of the same amount". it's just a "metaphor"!! intelligent people know there are no cities with a population of just young males ages 18/30.

a few want to take advantage to push their "dog whistle" convoluted agenda. "Any other opinion than yours must be attacked and destroyed by ridicule " For example the CDC? ----1st CDC is all knowing---Now the CDC lies Last edited on Sat Sep 26th, 2020 12:16 am by Jimmy |

Civil discourse on the subject of Covid-19 means that opposing opinions, with or without verification, can be posted and discussed without the poster being ridiculed or demeaned. Is my opinion any less than any other? Just asking. Last edited on Sat Sep 26th, 2020 12:20 am by Jimmy |

Just got back from Sam's Club, where half the people were not wearing masks over their noses.. I was doing 180s in the aisles trying to stay away from them. The malecon ,Charlies rock etc. looked like Semana Santa. I guess there's no end to vacations with the kids not in an actual building for school.

SC is growing, along with the number of tourists just coming on weekends. I ventured out through the Ejido north of Beltrones last week and the sheer number of new homes being built out there really surprised me. I suspect we will see more of the same because folks from the larger cities are safer working and living in homes that are sitting on larger campestre properties as opposed to small lots where thy are packed in the cities. Coronavirus.
