As I write, the Caracol Tower Mount PWS is recording measurable rain. So far, 0.02 inches at 0820.

A large cell has formed over the Sea of Cortez in the last few hours, that could threaten San Carlos, but it is being dragged east like the rest of the moisture. If nothing happens in the next four hours, it probably ISN'T going to happen today.

WU now using the general description of "Heavy Thunderstorms" to describe our day. Rainfall PREDICTION amounts back up to about 1.75 inches.

We shall see..........

No lightning, no thunder, no additional sprinkles yet, it’s quiet.
Here’s a pic from a minute ago.

Here’s how much the sky has changed in the last half hour...
This view is mostly eastward looking.

The north is still solid clouds, but the east and southern sky appears to be clearing, at least at the moment...

This view is more southern, straight down the Sea of Cortez, at a southeast angle I think.  I need to take the compass outside again and re-familiarize myself with those compass points on my view.

Really appreciate you posting these pics, especially the emphasis on directions of the compass.

The center of this rather long low pressure area is now SSE of us. The circulation around it could conceivably spawn more cells that could threaten us. But it is looking very unlikely.

WU has pretty much thrown in the towel on their rain predictions. Less than half an inch predicted now.

I see from the solar radiation meters on many of the PWS in town that the sun seems to be popping out, here and there.

I also notice from the history of my PWS that I got 1.57 inches last Oct 14th. I believe that's when the remnants of Sergio came ashore.

If you want to PM your email address to me, I can send all five shots required to get my 180 degree panoramic sky view.
It’s really too tedious for me to resize all those photos, then post five replies to get 5 pics on the forum.
And other readers may not appreciate me cluttering up the forum with my picture posts.

I will send that along, for future instances. No need for this grouping.

The south and east portions of my sky view have closed in again solid with clouds, with rain apparent in the distance.

My PWS is still showing the same 0.02" from earlier.

Has the sun come out yet? Still threatening rain?

It appears I have peaked at 0.12".

Solar radiation measurements seem to indicate full sun.

It was cold and rainy, well cold by SC standards, when I pointed north this morning. Cleared up about half an hour out of SC, which I was thankful for in a Jeep with half doors.

Hook, be careful believing too much from the electronic devices.
There are a few breaks in the clouds, but not many.

Yes, it’s raining over here again, socked in with clouds all the way.
