My girls would like to bring their friend with us next week when we come down, does anyone have any experience with bringing an unrelated minor with them across the border?

How old is she? Does she have a passport? You will need a signed permission by both her parents or guardians that she can travel with you.

Not sure about Mexico, but when our daughter brought a friend (17) with her to Honduras, we had to be sure that permission also covered permission for her medical care if necessary. Otherwise, medical personnel would be unable to treat her if necessary.

Does the permission, from both parents still need to be notarized?
