Hi neighbors, I have heard from a few people that the Sonora state Governor announced a 2M investment for Beltrones Blvd. Can someone please post confirmation of this announcement.  Thanks very much.

The last time Beltones was repaved, I was told that is was a federal road, not a state or city road.  If that is true, then the state would not be spending money on it.  Maybe they are talking about structures along the road and not the road itself.  Beltones is actually in pretty good condition right now anyway.

Thank you.  I had a response on Facebook that it looks like the rumor was in fact related to the money the state paid to have Beltrones paved before Semana Santa.  That was a great improvement.  Looks like it might be a case of old news.

They are still doing clean up, and have taken away some light posts that were bent and laying on the ground. Their contractor was very good imo. City painted the long handrail on the seaside wall to the sides of charlies rock. The wall on the sand side sure needs some cement facing replaced before the next hurricane shows up though.

Isn't the handrail what the San Carlos Foundation painted?

A friend posted the answer on another site!  The Governor announced the "completion" of the  Beltrones Boulevard paving project.  This was the paving work that occurred before Semana Santa.  The rumor that I heard was money was being designated to San Carlos for a future project.  Case closed.  Thank you!

Yes, the San Carlos Foundation is repairing the railing and wall at Charlie's Rock.  The railing is complete and the wall is currently being patched and painting will start next week.  Stop by and show your appreciation to the workers if you can.  They would love it!  For more information about the Foundation click the link below.  These projects are all funded with donations from residents of San Carlos.

Hi Bullshipper, The city is not paying for these repairs.  The repairs are being made by the residents of San Carlos through the San Carlos Foundation.  See post below.  Thank you.
