Buddy is looking for a good home. He has a big heart and could be a great dog. I think that my neighbor is trying to run him over, and I have no love for him. Even if I bought him a bark collar, I am not taking a third dog. His owner can't contain him and his previous living situation is not to his liking. Before I drop him off 100 mi. from here near the lake, I thought I would check.

Am I missing something here? You are planning to take someone's dog who is getting food and water out to a lake 100 miles away and dump him where he has no source of food and will starve?

Am I the only one who sees a problem with this?

Has the owner asked for your help to rehome him? Please elaborate, your post seems harsh and misguided. Many dogs have less than ideal homes here, if he has a home and his owner wants him and provides him food and water then I think you are speaking out of turn. But without more details I am simply confused, concerned and irritated by your post.

What bothers me is suzmax posting her criticism of Bryan on VSC about his post here regarding the dog.

It is obvious to me that She did that because no one here seems to be concerned.  She is very concerned about the dog. All you’re concerned about is the fact that she is trying to get someone else to care about the dog along with her. 🙄 That is not helping the dog. It’s you just complaining.

There are now 20 dogs on the small lot - 3 litters. This dog is let out by a helper nightly, and it constantly escapes. It wakes me up sometimes multiple times a night. It attacks other dogs. She won't contain it for more than a night or two. I am sure it would find a home in these ranch areas around obregon and the Yaqui Valley, but it would still probably make it back to my house within a day to wake me up in the middle of the night. One lady in Tecalai loved the dog. I love dogs, but I have had enough.

Says a lot about people being more worried about me sharing a post than about the dog possibly getting dumped. I don't really care if you are bothered by me sharing it. I wasn't looking for anyone's approval. And Mountainbike VH, exactly!

Repsilon -  that would be horrible to live next to someone with that many dogs especially when it wakes you up repeatedly every night. I have neighbors with little yappers that yap every day multiple times a day and that has brought me to their door to discuss it on more than one occasion.  I am sorry you are stuck in that position. Whoever has these 20 dogs on the lot with multiple litters is clearly super irresponsible. For God sake’s the SBPA office is right there offering free sterilization once per month. Have you offered to bring their dogs to get sterilized? Heck I would help get it done if they would accept the help. Please feel free to talk to them and get back to me if I can do something to help get those dogs fixed.

Well, apparently no one on VSC ‘seems to be concerned’ either, since no one there has responded to her post after 4 hours.

I am just trying to find this dog a home. I really think that he is a good dog. I have too many randoms walk down my street at all hours. It loves to bark and run inches in direct front of cars. If I don't feed it then it is even more likely to eat and completely smell of trash. It just doesn't want to be in the hellish environment that has been created for it. But my house is not going to be it! He could be an excellent dog, but not in this insanity. It's not his fault. It's an absolute miracle that this dog hasn't been completely run over by a car.

Bryan - will the owner let you rehome Buddy? I actually have met him before when I lived in Tecali last summer. He would show up occasionally. I got him on a leash thinking he was lost and I asked around and was told his story so I let him go. I was told He’s a wanderer and has a home in Ranchitos.  He was VERY skinny yet didn’t want food when I offered him some. If the owner will allow you to rehome him then please get good pictures and detailed info on him (age, weight, breed, personality traits and issues) and start sharing on Las Rescasitas and Bliss’ network. And others will share from there. But without the owners permission, rehoming him isn’t possible IMO.

Yes, she doesn't mind. I will look  for it. He's about a 20# miniature Doberman.

Revised message: I have spoke to the owner of Buddy personally, she is NOT interested in rehoming buddy. I am stepping out of this topic.  I will be working with the owner on helping her spay her remaining couple of dogs who have recently had puppies and getting the puppies shots and into new homes. I’m Sorry for having stepped in without having all the facts in hand, sounds like a frustrating situation. ☮️
