I dropped off my recycling today with Carrie who manages San Carlos Recycling. She’s not feeling well so hasn’t been responding to all the questions quite yet. She helped me clarify items of  yes” recyclable and “no” recyclable. We will start with the YES items. Milk jugs, soda bottles, salad dressing, laundry soap bottles, vinegar bottles, salad dressing bottles, cottage cheese and sour cream containers (look like small white tubs). Basically if it held liquids and it is a bottle it should be OK. You do not have to remove the caps. Items NOT acceptable:  No clam shells (think what your strawberries and blueberries come in), thin clear food containers, individual yogurt servings, lunch meat containers. Also no Styrofoam, no plastic bags, no plastic sheeting of any type. No glass. You can drop off at her house which is right behind the laundromat next to Rosas Cantina Restaurant every Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Also, feel free to visit her FaceBook page San Carlos Recycling where you can find photos of examples items.

Thank you!  She also likes it if you squish or flatten your water bottles.  Takes up less room!  Love this service she is offering our community!
