While getting SmartDNS proxy service working for subscription streaming and using Nord VPN on my laptop and phone for other traffic I overlooked shutting off upnp on the unavoidable Huawei HG8245H for Telmex service. Easy fix but late.
I'm looking for help on checking my windows laptop. I have AOL's security scans that come up clear and I have it off in favor of my chromebook for most of my traffic. I have removed the Huawei wifi connection so I only connect now through my own router that has always disabled upnp. I'm on a steep learning curve on this stuff so worried that I'm overlooking something.

You could use Malwarebyes, Zemana and also Adwcleaner all are free to use for checking for malware. I would run all 3 if you think you might have a problem. I run them once a month my self just because.
