They collect money for no service. Two of my friends were going to buy in SC and the homes were in the 250k area. When they saw how bad the water problem is they backed out. One would think the realtors would get together and approach the water company.

Recently I talked with two CEA employees privately. One said that in the 17 years of CEA employment, this is the worst management. The second person said that CEA is really run by the labor union. People work when/if they feel like it and will only work on weekends when paid overtime. It sounds like an uprising of Mexican citizens is called for. This is a public institution that is supposed to benefit the public and not just a few private individuals.

Management is who is responsible for the actions of the CEA, The workers, with the benefit of a union ,are not where the problem lies... The workers should be paid overtime for the weekends, the problem is...Management has failed to up-grade infra structure, buy equipment to do repairs, stock replacement parts... All this proves nothing is getting done Because of Management...NOT the Union.

Limey. All I can do is pass on what I was told. I was told that it was BOTH the union and the management. My comment about 17 years of bad management came from an insider. My comments about the union also came from an insider.

It is what it is and will not get better. Storage capacity is the only solution. Get plenty of storage and enjoy your life.

I agree. If you ever lived on a boat, then you have an idea about consumption, and storage. Having personally known many of the workers and management at CEA, (more years then I care to mention) they are government , and have many vacations, and perks. Service is not one of the things that they have ever been known for. It will not change in the near future. Nepotism rules!

Sometime in the last 24 hours, we got more water. Not on, right now, though.

Company C, Ranchitos.

We get water much more than most places in the Ranchitos. We get it on the "scheduled" days and others as well. I have always suspected that we are on the same pipe grid as the secondary school out by the softball field. CEA makes sure they have water.

PJ, I think you're right. We have had a trickle a couple of evenings but not enough to rise up into a four foot tinaco fill. We are somewhere around 10 days without. I as well went in to pay my bill about a week ago and had to take a number and stand in line. A Mexican gent came in and was directed to another gent with CEA behind the desk. His water had been shut off for non payment for the first time ever. He had been somewhere else working and this has been his pattern for years. He was informed that anyone not paying on time would be shut off at first chance. Just a little overheard public info I think. Ron

I'm glad to hear that people shirking on paying will have their water cut off. That may be the silver lining to having the meters put in. CEA has access to closing their line.

And it is one less tinaco to fill when the water does come on.

I am at Creston. Somehow I received sufficient pressure last night (27 November) to fill my tinaco. At noon today (28 November) there is very little system pressure.

We got enough to fill a 5K liter tinaco from about 2/3 full today. Not sure when, never heard it.

Ron, did you see the trench and pipe that was dug and laid by a crew of 4-5 about a week ago? It started from the end of the cement pavement on Ferreteria Industrial road (Calle III) and Segunda. It terminated at a house on the west side of the street about 2-3 houses from Segunda.

It was a 6-8 inch pipe!! And went just to that one house.

When I had to run the pipe from the CEA main line on Primero, CEA told me the pipe had to be 3 inch, no smaller and no bigger.

Is your inlet on Segundo? Maybe that's why you arent getting water?

Wow, I did not see that, probably shouldn't ask the name either, LOL. I as well had plans and permission to lay my own line back when. The argument was between "them" inside CEA and was over which of the four sites they had told me to tap into which was each direction excepting West. When it came down to it, I was not allowed to dig and bed my own line but one of their crews would do it after 5 PM when they went off the clock. I was left without choice and water. That's what we did, paid them for materials and labor. I was allowed 1/2 inch pvc and no option again. I told them I would have no pressure at that distance. So Again I caved and we got water and it's now been that way for years. I post and contribute when we get water and when we get no water. In honesty, storage is king and we have only been without water half a day post Jimena and the Navy actually came filled us up then. So we've been the same for 7 or 8 years now. We have never depended on pressure or volume from the street from CEA, it's just not there through a 1/2 inch tube. I would also need to say that I don't think there was even one engineer involved with my line, just low level politics and lack of tip. Ynot
