Phone - the best no-plan is Telcel's Amigo Sin Limite deals. There are about 10 diff deals for diff minutes, MB data, etc. At the low end Telcel has a simple phone with the SIM card and some minutes included for about us$35. There are lots of Eng speaking people at Telcel in Gym near the Tuefesa station. Take ID passport etc with you.

A suggestion for making the most of your time with a teacher... In your everyday life, start writing down sentences in English that you wish you could communicate in Spanish. Then do your best to translate it using online translation. Then go over these sentences in detail with your teacher. Then go out and use your new sentences. I have found that if you don't use your new Spanish phrases you will quickly forget them. Good luck.

My daughter teaches Eng as a 2nd language in Germany. She says the best way to learn a foreign language is on the pillow ... worked for her - she speaks excellent German and married the German guy.
