construction has started at the entrance to the Royal Country Club subdivision . to allow ingress and egress to property owned by the golf club, on each side of the entry. it is my understanding that the golf course "holes" have been subdivided and plans for 62 homes are scheduled for construction!
the controversy was heard many times on the radio yesterday 9/11/18

there are 2 golf holes on each side of the Royal country club entrance, 62 houses will be built. thus eliminating the full amount of holes at the golf club! also, encroaching on existing high end homes who had the golf greens as a buffer!

So, it will become a 16-hole course?

Interesting precedent. What's to stop Lenny from selling the rest of the holes on the course?

Well, that was the old driving range. Not a hole, as I recall. He sold that off a while ago. That's why he moved the driving range over by Solimar.

the driving range was to the left as you drive into the san carlos country club. this is at the entrance to the Royal country club.

Frankie, I was referring to the pic you posted. That looks like the country club entrance, not Royal.

So, are these 62 new homes DIFFERENT from the condo complex that has been in construction on the right side of the road, between the NE end of Solimar and the Royal entrance? Or are these the same homes mentioned in this thread?

I guess the name of this movie should be "If you build it, water will come"?

a new hotel next to Marina Seca, new homes on the Golf Course, a proposed new hospital, what's next?

Not sure if this article is about the same properties but the "aldermen" of Guaymas are finally standing up to the mayors greed and reversed the sale of properties in San Carlos. They also denied his pension plans.

The article translated...............................Ain't Mexico great,,,there is ALWAYS a grab for Money by the outgoing Potentates....

They give reverse to Lorenzo with the sale of lands of Lucano

Although he did the impossible to achieve the approval of the sale of land in San Carlos by his brother Lucano De Cima Dworak, the building body gave back to the Mayor and did not even allow the point to be put to a vote.

Not only in the issue of the sale of properties was that the aldermen could curb the greed of President Lorenzo De Cima Dworak, but they also did not approve the pensions and pensions that he had programmed to authorize, "like cherry on the cake", before finishing his mandate.
Most of the aldermen voted against these last two points, because among the people who would be retired and retired to continue to "bleed" the public treasury, was a nephew of the secretary of the City Council, David Kiamy, former prisoner Vogar Cañez Sánchez, as well as friends of Lorenzo De Cima, family members of aldermen and first level officials.

However, what the aediles approved, were 3 alcohol withdrawals, one for OXXO, for a Mazateño in San Carlos and a restaurant in the same destination, which the councilors who approved approved, to pay for the tourist situation that was staining with the criminal acts that the President left tarnished the record that Guaymas had years ago, when it was qualified as "one of the safest municipalities" in the state of Sonora.

This is exactly the 'Stranger than Fiction' that I was referring to. El Vigia is doing an entire exposé over current and past 'fracasos'. I'm rather shocked at the lawlessness present in Guaymas the last 6 months. It's at all levels, from violent street crimes all the way to administrative levels.

Get a grip, land development has a 1,000 year history, nothing new, people that own the land can subdivide based on the current planning and zoning regulations, owner of San Carlos Golf Course is an investor only interested in bottom line and profit, he could care less of the greater good of San Carlos.

Watch your tone Stephenjay please… none of us are 'gripless'. it might be good to examine what is specifically happening before casting judgement on folks expressing concern. It's just not nice.

for years many have enjoyed the san carlos golf course! many have built their homes around the golf course concept! i can only see this as detrimental to the hundreds who have adjoining real estate investments, "homes & lots"!!

greater good, zoning, morality, are lost in this issue!
