I sincerely hope it closes. Some of us have been pushing to use the property to house a marine research station. When TEC - Campus Guaymas was open, we attracted some pretty smart researchers internationally. Maybe this will happen again. This delphinarium has had a very checkered history of poor management and animal deaths. Our new governor is a wonderful lady with noble aspirations who has listened to the wrong politicians on this issue. She has no first hand knowledge.

This is great news...I really hope they enforce the closure of this facility.  I also hope any dolphins still alive there get out alive...

Since this posting, apparently the Yucatantimes has redacted the headline to reflect it is only in MEXICO CITY, not nation wide. BUT, it is a start. Sonora May have theirs for a while longer...
