On another forum there has been some talk on a new eastern bypass to Hermosillo, similar to the new one around Obregon. Any comments here?

The bridge south of the new electrical plant to merge back on 15 from the bypass is close to completion.  I have heard others say that the bypass should be completed soon but I did not see any sign of the bypass on the north side on a recent trip.

Looking at Google Maps, which has been updated in the last 5 months, it appears that the new bypass is FAR from completion.

When it is done it will be great. Traveling through town just adds a lot of time to the trip.

Looked at the Google map and don't see the northern junction with Mex 15. Anybody know where that will be at?

It is supposed to be just this side (south side) of the northern toll plaza outside of HMO.
