How far is this offshore from SC? Also, was this a charter board? If so, what was the approx cost? Thanks.

It's about 45 miles out of Bahia de los Angeles on the Baja side. To get there from SC you need to go up to Kino and then across the mid-drift islands, and cut up North. This was a super panga charter, but I've taken my boat there a couple times.

Where we camped:

The small island where the sea lion colony is. It's fronting the Puerto Refugio bay on the top of Isla de la Guarda.

Really gorgeous photos. We were there in 2004 with Gerry Cunningham who wrote the cruising guides. A lovely spot and hardly anyone goes up there.

I read all his books and it inspired me to explore the SOC.  We've gone down the entire Baja coast line and spent countless days exploring the anchorages in the 40-50 miles North of SC.  Usually had the guide books with me.  Would have loved to meet him.

The last 4-5 years I've started taking my kids on the adventures.  We went from SC to La Paz 2 summers ago.

I just search YouTube for songs.  Type something like "Best instrumental songs."  Then use a site to convert it from YouTube to MP3.  You just paste in the URL from YT and it lets you download the MP3.

Here's one site:  https://ytmp3.cc/
