There is a sign on the highway about a hospital coming soon.
Anyone have information about this?

This would be the San Jose Hospital that has locations in
Hermosillo and Obregon.

To be I think that it will be built in Guaymas and the sign announcing it just happens to be located in San Carlos.

I believe that it is supposed to be where about where the sign is, in San Carlos. I had a surgery in October at San Jose in Hermosillo and they were talking about it. Should be a great addition.

A San Jose hospital in San Carlos would be fantastic. It would alleviate a fear that many snow birds / retirees have...

Well, if the location really is going to be on the road coming into San Carlos, that doesn’t bode well for our future water supply. What little we get coming into town will be sucked up by the hospital before it can reach the town residents.

it is my understanding the new and needed hospital will be constructed on the road to the dolfinario, this side of it!
at the turn off to the dolfinario, you can clearly see that water valves coming from the san carlos water supply. drive up further and you will see a large water storage tank on the side of the hill!
yes a "portion" of the water supply will be diverted , there!

Frankie,
Hasn't that water tank always been there? At least for the last 10 years? Or am I thinking of another tank?

i can't be certain about time, but it was placed after the road was constructed and paved!
probably as a supply for the dolphinario and the neighboring subdivision!

I think there's one for certain post. Zero times zero should be zero?? That would mean that a hospital that requires a lot of water would take about everything coming down the line first?? That might work out that Ranchitos, Loma del Mar, Country and a few other subdivision/sectors would get everything remaining, which might be near zero, LOL. Seriously though, I assume some way or other, they would need priority and maybe their own water source and storage. Independent of our CEA "providers"!!

Since the CEA is so bad at planning, why doesn't somebody ask the Comisario to check into this? And where's our SC water presenter - how much water does a hospital use?

According to the US EPA, the median hospital in their study used 315 gallons per hospital bed per day.

As a reference, a typical family of 2 residence in the USA would use 20 cubic meters of water per month. Converting that to daily gallons = 176 gallons per day.

#16 - the useful reference would be the usage of residences in SC/Gym. CEA rates have 40 cu mt per mo in the base rate - we have used about 10, 5, 5 in the last 3 mos - even watering my tomatoes.
