US Mexico relations are about to get even more contentious.  Recall that Obrador came very very close to beating Calderon 12 years ago.

A week ago the German government issued a warning not to go to Mexico during this time of elections.
The government said there will more violence and shootings during this time.
So far 3 candidates in Ziua. have been murdered in the last few weeks.
There will be many more killed because they are not the "right" party.
Business as usual.

The election is July 1, not June.

If he wins or even loses close (again), it could be very chaotic in Mexico.

My mistake, the election is July 1. Of course as foreigners we cannot meddle in the election but it is going to change things. Hope it is peaceful.
