It's Really kind of amazing to me how Nasty people can be to each other over something as silly as Pizza. There is no reason to be Derogatory to someone or to someones Business because of your personal opinion. Come on folks ! How about a little nice !

Mike's pizza at Captains is good but, for my tastes, nothing in this town compares to Colibri. Truly a gourmet pizza. Wood fired, thin crust. Just took advantage of the last night of 2 for 1 with the coupons from the pickleball tournament. Espanola really rocks!!!

You know... I fully meant the post to be totally light hearted (all about the nasty cheese that is so prevalent in pizza here)... But upon re-reading... it appeared nasty.  Really sorry... I deleted it.... Obviously, I was ribbing Repilson in jest... but again... upon re-reading... it appears nasty to those who don't understand I wrote it with my tongue planted firmly in cheek... Better to delete it...

I had my first pizza when I was 14 years old, that was 56 years ago, seems to me it was better then, no pizza today tastes as good as what I remember, what is the explanation or is it just a memory, the pepperoni was incredible, why was it better then than now?  I have eaten pizza all over the world, even had a decent pizza in Kathmandu, Nepal, the secret is in the sauce.

I had Sal's pizza in the first year he made it. Someone brought it to a party as an appetizer. It was very good. Probably better than Mike's but not as good as Colibri, IMO. All good;  I just like the gourmet style of Colibri. Mike and Sal's pizza are more of a traditional Neapolitan style pizza, but with a thinner crust. Sal's are easily the most traditional style of pizza in town.

But Sal's looks nothing like his pics over on Viva. Neither do his dinners. All those images are lifted off the first or second page of images on Google images.
