post #40 george, san carlos is currently is in tax debt about 4.5 million USD from unpaid taxes.

if our unpaid taxes where 80% paid "discounted"  which would go directly into a san carlos bank account. we would have most of our issues semi resolved!!
you have a strong following of supporters, you are someone who has a history of wanting to help!!

encourage your followers to support tax discounted payment!!!

your greatest strength is the positive guidance of your following!!

I’m a little surprised that the naysayers, that think beautification is a waste of time and money, are in a hurry to see their ideas put forth. You forget that the water and other big issues take longer to fix, specially if there’s no planning for the fix. Thus, other easier to do issues will get the limelight. It’s expected and it’s still progress.
What’s needed is a master plan-like undertaking for SC that includes the big ticket items with conceptual rendering of what’s needed, involvement of the experts, long term planning for the funding and the involvement/agreement of the powers that be.
We can talk and complain adnauseum, but why not concentrate on stepping up with your real expertise to help SC. If you don’t have that then don’t demand anything but encourage the creation of a serious infrastructure improvement plan for SC.

Yeah, I was a little shocked when I saw that Sayulita and even Tecate were deemed magical towns.

Compare and contrast is fine if that’s what you choose to do. Why not concentrate on the benefits of the PM designation. They will fund infrastructure projects for SC. Here’s one of the written goals:... “ las localidades que reciben los beneficios del nombramiento Pueblo Mágico puedan fortalecer la infraestructura, la calidad de los servicios, la diversificación de sus productos turísticos, la creación y modernización de herramientas comerciales, acciones que contribuirán a detonar el crecimiento del mercado interno.”
In English:...”the localities that receive the benefits of the Magic Town appointment can strengthen the infrastructure, the quality of the services, the diversification of their tourism products, the creation and modernization of commercial tools, actions that will contribute to detonate the growth of the internal market.”
It’s and “all win”...

I sure hope that the "Plaza Project" is completed more rapidly than the "Look Out Project".

But, we will see. All I know is that I have my Ticket for the "Show".

A plaza well outside of town between four lanes of a highway? weird. just weird.
*ok... I guess a further explanation was given and the town park is not going in the center of the glorieta on the highway... that's good... very good.

No, there’s two projects: a sign that’s being put on at the entrance to SC and the plaza. I think the blueprint showed the sign depiction. The plaza will go in the space in front of the Catholic Church. I think that’s Caballeros property.

why not knock down the golf towers and donate the land to San Carlos and put a park there? You'd have the fountain in the glorieta to indicate the entrance...

It seems to me the blueprint shows the design of the plaza. If you zoom in you can read the names of the street to either side, "Blvd. Gabriel Estrada" and "Camino a la Marina".

You are right, Angel. I got confused with what looked like parking spots. This must be the plaza print. Thanks.
