This is a posting from whatsupsancarlos.com but I think it has important information for San Carlos residents.
New Comisario for San Carlos Effective November 3, the new Comisario for San Carlos is Mr. Salvador Macias (pictured in the middle). He is bilingual and has been a resident in San Carlos for the past 6 years. Congratulations on your new role, Salvador. And "thank you" to Meliton Martinez (pictured on right), the previous Comisaria, for all his efforts.Over the coming weeks, we will interview the new Comisari to ask for his plans and vision for San Carlos, focusing specifically on areas such as lighting, potholes, safety, garbage, and public services in general. We're happy to see that landscaping and garbage collection is being focused on this week!  You can also check the Facebook page Comisaría San Carlos for updates and information.

What exactly is the authority and responsibility of the Comisario? He apparently has no authority over the Police. Nor does he get any budget. What is he supposed to do with no authority, responsibility or budget?

That would be up to Vince. Whatsupsancarlos.com has nothing to do with Vince.

Vince always has an axe to grind, just like you-know-who, VSC.

In fact, I think you-know-who quite well.

Nice guy, I don´t actually understand what all the Comisario is responsible, if anything, for. I guess we will have to let Salvador tell us how he views it and what are his plans.
