Leslie Sahlen from Mexmo and Gatorlegs Music here. I've been in talks with Aeromar for a while.  My goal is to create tourism events and access to fast and cheap air travel to bring weekend business to San Carlos year round. The success of "You Deserve A Weekend in Paradise" package attached is crucial to demonstrating the Guaymas/San Carlos Airport is one Aeromar wants to pursue.  PLEASE tell your friend and family about Feb 9 and Feb 12. Package includes round trip airfare (For TWO), 3 nights La Posada, 2 tickets to San Carlos Music Festival and discounts at La Palapa, El Mar, Delfines, Mimi's K-Fecita, and more to be added!  If you don't need accommodations, the round trip airfare for those dates is available for $300 including taxes. One ways $150.

That seems like a really fair price to me. And the airline has been flying regularly, I understand.

Thanks for the info, Leslie. You seem to have the important advertising bases covered with Bart's Board, your posters about town and WUSC.

I wish you success and, of course,

good weather.

Cheap, fast, air travel to our secret paradise is crucial. San Carlos restaurants and businesses deserve a weekend economy year round. The faster I can fill those two planes, the better our chances for a thriving Guaymas Airport.

I promise to make sure the bus ride from the Hermosillo airport to San Carlos is fun.

It would be easy for Aeromar to come into Guaymas Airport. Community needs it :)

Aeromar is a very well run small airline. I traveled in late December with Aeromar from Tucson to Hermosillo. It was 138.00 USD, first bag checked was free and they provided service in-flight with snacks and beverages. They provided customs forms when you check in which was nice to fill out before boarding.
I would recommend them and hope they would add a Guaymas stop in the future, but to have a taxi take you to San Carlos from Hermosillo was very affordable also.

VisitorSanCarlos dude.... go poop on your own thread.. or the plethora of other ParadiseAir threads we have had over the last 6 months.

This is Leslie Sahlen's thread about an existing and functioning airline that is offering a good price through Leslie's Mexmo tie-in/offer. Granted, this is a bit like a CommunityEvents or MarketPlace type thread, but so be it, it's here and everyone's okay with that.

Absolutely, No need to mention ParadiseAirMexico in this thread..

Our daughter flew down on Aeromar from TUS in November, complete with her service dog, great flight...no problems, back then about 80 bucks one way, introductory special....as for people wanting flights into Guaymas...ain't happening...The drive from Cabo San Lucas to the airport used to be an hour and 15 minutes, recently huge new highways have gone in making the drive just 45minutes  via San Jose bypass (35 pesos toll) another one takes you to the middle of CSL for 65 peso toll and 25 minute drive, there are about 350 to 390 flights a week landing in the Cabo San Lucas airport during peak season (Winter). What makes you thing Guaymas is a viable tourist airport verses our existing Hermisillo ( an hour and 20 minutes away)??? You would be lucky to get 5 to 10 people a day into Guaymas!!!

Thumbs up for Aeromar. Tucson to Hermisillo between Christmas and New Years. Pleasant and very accomodating. Hope they are around a long time.

Folks,
I'm no longer seeing the Tucson to Hermosillo flights from AeroMar available. In fact, I don't see any flights out of Tucson for AeroMar... which is disappointing. AeroMar still has flights to McCallen Texas, so they still retain the ability to fly into the USA.

I read today that Synergy Group, who has connections to Avianca (a Brazilian Airliner) has purchased a 49% stake (did it last year) and will be rebranding AeroMar as Avianca Mexico....

Avianca does some code sharing with AeroMexico, so who knows.. maybe there will be some posibilities for the new Avianca Mexico (AeroMar) and it's possible tie-ins with AeroMexico.

I walked by their ticket counter in Tucson a few weeks ago. I asked the agent how the loads were and she said not very good, usually less than 15 people on a flight. Can't make money with a load factor of 30%.
