The last I heard, both La Salsa and Bonifacio's have until October.  Soggy Peso and Sunset Grill have until next spring??? They have a longer extension, just don't remember what the deadline is...since they change every month.😜

Good to see La Salsa is getting a jump on the closure by building their new place on San Francisco beach now.  Hope it works out for them (and us).  Love La Salsa Beach Bar and Restaurant.  ðŸ˜‹

This is really good news... La Salsa Bar at Playa San Francisco...This should reduce if not stop those accidents along that curvy, twisted road to the Soggy

Hi - I'm new to this forum. Started going to the old Club Med back in 1992. Haven't been to San Carlos since the week before Club Med closed down forever in September, 2001. From what I've heard throughout the years Paradiso never made it. They never refurbished what could have been a great resort. Now, from what I'm reading in this thread it's all being torn down?

Anyway, I'm wanting to drive from Rocky Point to San Carlos. If I want to stay on Playa Algodones is Playa Blanca condos the only option?

Also, has anyone made the trip from Rocky Point to San Carlos and how is the highway.

What is it like down there during Semana Santa? Crazy like Rocky Point?
Thanks in advance for all your knowledge!

The buildings at the old Club Med are still there but the new owners are not allowing access at this point.

Yes Semana Santa is crazy and rooms are scarce.

On the Algodones side there is also the San Carlos Plaza and the Sea of Cortez Beach Club.

See the hotel list on this website

By the way, no activity on the new La Salsa site for some time now. Not sure what is going on there.

So, Frankie, are you saying that the new palapa being built at SF beach is NOT La Salsa?

Your posts are often hard for me to decipher.

He is correct P.J., The new Palapa is Not the new La Salsa. Some other Sea Food place ! It does look like construction has stopped.

Any updates on Soggy Peso?

We spent many pleasant and relaxing afternoons there and are very much looking forward to returning next Winter.

Soggy Peso is still there, and is going to be for awhile, along with it's Sister company Sunsets Bar and Grill. The rest have to be out by October, unless THAT changes, which it tends to do around here.

Do they plan to change locations? Or if they end up having to leave, will that be it?
