How can you all not have local Mexican friends you can call to check things out for you?

Very surprising.

So sad to see all of the losses. I have a boat at Marina Seca and have not been able to confirm anything about her status. If anyone has photos of dry storage or work yard there, please post or call me at 907-240-0206 or email jengordonmom@gmail.com. My sailboat's name is Northern Passage. I believe she is in the work yard?

I wish I could be there to help clean up, Alaska is so far away!!!!
Any news would be greatly appreciated,Jennifer

JZ - Really?  Why post snarky stuff at this point? That's not helpful.  I have 5 contacts including a man that watches my boat on the hard, and can't get through to any.

John,

Given the problems in Guaymas most staff at SC businesses were fixing problems at home yesterday which has probably not helped.

Likely today both news and contacts will start to get easier - although power back it is not back on everywhere yet , which may also have an impact.

Fingers crossed all will be well ~ trying times for all.

The one thing we have found is cell phone has seemed to work well if folks are charged up.

One article I read said 80% of Guaymas is still without power. No power can mean no gas, no charging phones, no cell service, etc.
Pictures of Playa Blanca and La Salsa are alarming (see Twitter link I posted).

No word yet of our house on the water in Creston sector.

If anyone goes to Marina Real dry dock, please look into the work yard (right side as you enter). The third boat from the end (opposite the office, next to brick wall) should be a 40' Formosa (red hull) S/V "Long Ben"(the name may have been removed by now because it is getting repainted topside as well as bottom.) I saw a photo that appears to show a broken mast - not sure if that is from Long Ben. But looks suspiciously like it may be.

I was planning to drive down to san carlos early next week to drop a few things off at my boat that's in marina seca.  What do you all think the chances are that I'll be able to get access to my boat on monday or tuesday?  It's sitting on a trailer with all the canvas off so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it's not damaged.

Hi SF Bay Dude,
I got those initially off the FB page for San Carlos:
https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=104680049570325&tsid=0.5213975880679025&source=typeahead
And are posted by with location stamp of San Carlos: https://m.facebook.com/keith.rodriquez.7?fref=nf&__tn__=C
Looks like Marina San Carlos-Seca to me, but I've been there on a few times earlier in the summer definitely not Marina Real-seca...

This pic is for Shannon Spirit. We are right next to you in DC-18, SV Indigo, blue hull w/red stripes. You should be able to see your shamrock in the pic, in between the two blue hulls. I have attached this before picture so you can compare and verify your boat is on the right side of that after picture posted by Gitana. This of course doesn't mean our boats are not tipped since they are not visible in the after pic, but at least our odds are much better. And I hope that gives you some minor relief until you get verification.

Thank you so much to everyone who is posting photos. Gitana's pic post was the only way we could verify we were not in that devastating row as we haven't received news from our caretaker yet. So concerned for all who are.

If anyone forwards this on FB: this picture is a BEFORE shot, Row DC is on right, at Marina Seca SC taken in October 2015 by Indigo, for comparison purposes only.

JZ - IMHO, That comment is just rude and mean hearted.  It has been very difficult to reach anyone.
